Over a five year period, Storm worked with the PPMA Group to run the press office at its industry-leading events PPMA and PPMA Total, the UK’s premier free-to-attend complete production line exhibitions for processing and packaging machinery.

Each year, an integrated campaign was devised that included a robust press office function, a hard-working social media campaign to improve visibility across all appropriate platforms, and on-going support for show features in the food processing, packaging, machinery and vertical food sector trade titles.

A consistent stream of news was developed over each campaign period, utilising exhibitor and speaker announcements and new show attractions. Close working relationships with all key trade media were developed and maintained to ensure that there was a schedule of show previews and a wide range of ad-hoc, thought leadership and profile features for both the organisers and speakers.

The results were wide reaching, with almost 90% of coverage in its key ‘A’ tier titles and exceeding ROI by 40:1. Followers on Twitter increased by 31% and on LinkedIn by 33% in one show cycle alone, and 16.9k impressions achieved over the course of the three-day show.
