Frugalpac introduced the UK’s first truly recyclable coffee cup, Frugal Cup. The #getfrugal campaign was launched to support the cup and its new UK production facility, and drive sales through coffee shops and cafes.

The campaign was multi-layered. Trade and regional news coverage around the investment, factory and cup was secured at launch. Working alongside YouTuber Madeleine Olivia a petition was set-up for consumers to support recycling cups and we worked with 30 influencers to spread the word. BBC Radio 1’s Gemma Cairney designed a bespoke cup which she took to Glastonbury and undertook a range of consumer interviews to highlight the campaign. And finally 15 Frugal Café Pioneers were recruited across the country to act as case studies and drive regional coverage.

This highly successful campaign was credited as creating a £3m pipeline of sales and also was awarded Best Use of Celebrity at the Corporate Content Awards, and B2B Campaign of the Year at the PR Moment Awards.
