- Launched disruptive Digital Deposit Return Scheme technology
- Positioned at forefront of Government and industry debate on DDRS and Extended Producer Responsibility
- Coverage helped secure Co-op and Ocado Retail business
Recycling technology company, Polytag launched its pioneering Digital Deposit Return Scheme (DDRS) technology in 2021 and tasked Storm with being positioned as a leading voice in the DDRS and Extended Producer Responsibility debate between the Government and industry.
Phase one of the campaign saw the announcement of a new CEO, launching its DDRS trial in North Wales with the Welsh Government, creating a new company website, launching its social media channels and company newsletter. This was complemented after the initial 3-month launch with a robust thought-leadership and media relations campaign which included speaking opportunities at industry events, identifying and drafting award nominations and arranging attendance of key journalists at Polytag’s technology demonstration days.
The PR and marketing activity has been highly successful in establishing Polytag as a credible and leading solution in the packaging circular economy. The campaign secured over 10 pieces of coverage in The Grocer as well as national coverage in the Daily Telegraph, and has been credited as a contributing factor in winning business from the Co-op and Ocado Retail.
