Storm has started working with sustainable fava bean snack producer, The Honest Bean Co., who has launched a new range of delicious vegan Roasted Fava Bean Snacks to join the brands range of Fava Bean Dips. Fava beans are a nutritional powerhouse and The Honest Bean Co. only use simple, fresh and allergen free ingredients to make their products – and the Storm team can vouch that they are super tasty too!
With home grown British ingredients at the heart of what they do, the business was founded when owner Adam sought out a British houmous alternative to reduce food miles on imported chickpeas. He teamed up with his sister, Zoe, to create The Honest Bean Co. brand and began creating dips on their family farm from home grown fava beans and cold-pressed rapeseed oil and recently began producing Fava Bean Snacks as a passion project during the first UK lockdown. The brother and sister duo started the brand with the ethos that consumers shouldn’t have to compromise on taste to make better food purchasing decisions for their health or the planet, and this is still very much at the core of the businesses even as they expand and add to the range.
We have been working on a trade launch, targeting key publications across grocery retail, speciality food, wholesale and health. This activity has involved a trade sell in, tapping into relevant forward features around snacking and sustainability, as well as targeting producer profile slots.
